This grey Jaguar E-type 4.2 OTS (Series 2) was rebuilt and finished by us into a fine, road-ready car.

The Jaguar E-Type, also known as the Jaguar XK-E, is a model by car maker Jaguar Cars, built in three generations between 1961 and 1974. The E-Type marked a revolution in sports-car design, performance and handling. Its price was considerably lower than that of the competing models, which kept sales high. In fourteen years more than 70,000 examples were sold. The Jaguar E-Type ranks first on the list of top 1960s sports cars.

The Series II, produced from 1969 to 1971, received headlamps without glass covers (the Series 1 lamps had suffered from misting), a rear bumper wrapped around the tail, relocated and larger indicators, tail lights moved below the bumper, improved cooling with a larger radiator grille, and improved brakes. The interior was also redesigned. There were new control levers, more comfortable seats and optional air conditioning and power steering. The Series 2 was likewise available as an FHC, OTS and 2+2. The Series 2 E-type we show you here was fitted, on behalf of our customer, with a beautiful bespoke dark-green leather interior. The mechanicals were given an upgrade with better brakes, adjustable dampers, a complete restoration of the front and rear suspension, and a full engine overhaul with various modifications such as electronic ignition, a high-torque starter motor, an improved water pump, and so on.
